NO-COST TRAINING: Workforce Development 101
The workforce development field plays a critical role in bridging the gap to employment and self-sufficiency for thousands of New Yorkers. The system of programs, organizations, funding streams, and stakeholders is as vast as the needs it seeks to meet. Understanding and navigating this system can be a challenge for even the most seasoned practitioners.
“Workforce Development 101,” a free virtual training, provides a unique opportunity for front-line staff, supervisors, program directors, and those new to the field to learn more about who is involved in the workforce development system, the types of programs available, how programs operate, and where the funding comes from to support the various New York City workforce development programs. Furthermore, participants will gain, insights on the basic features and functions of workforce programming that every practitioner should know.
