WPTI will deliver our two-part Introduction to the Green Economy training, open to all workforce development practitioners. This two-part, live, virtual training will provide attendees with a fundamental understanding of the green economy and green jobs, and will include WPTI's brand-new Green Jobs Readiness Assessment, designed to help organizations understand their level of readiness and potential pathways forward for delivering programming focused on the green economy, ranging from referral partnerships all the way to in-house technical training. Topics will include defining the “green economy,” exploring primary sub-sectors and industries offering green jobs, critical skills and attributes required, and the intersection of climate justice, equity, and workforce development.

Attendees will leave with an important understanding of the green economy and the economic opportunities it presents, as well as an action plan for how to potentially engage in this exciting sector.
