AI Convening
WPTI (along with partners NYCETC and JobsFirstNYC) will hold a Convening on this fall to discuss AI in the future of workforce development.
The Convening will also introduce our new AI Guidelines publication, also created in partnership with NYCETC and JobsFirstNYC, and finalized with support from WPTI’s AI Working Group.

Since WPTI began offering training on issues related to AI in 2024, AI’s impact on our economy and job market has only accelerated. In this rapidly digitizing environment, it is critical for workforce development practitioners to understand the increasing role of AI in the workplace, its impact on jobs – especially entry-level jobs and access points, and the skills and digital fluency now required to thrive in the job market.
