CEO Sherazade Langlade will be a panelist at the NYSDEN 2026 Conference | Revisiting NY’s Digital Divide: Solutions for Reaching the Disconnected
The NYSDEN Annual Conference brings together practitioners, policymakers, funders, and grassroots organizations to explore bold solutions for expanding digital access and opportunity in every region. There will be mixture of workshops, panels and time to network.
Sherazade’s panel is titled, “How to Hit a Moving Target: Preparing All Workers for the AI Economy” on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026 (2–2:50pm) in the ETEC Building, Room B10, Albany, NY
This session will center two key questions: 1) what skills—both technology-related, and generalized in work contexts (e.g. soft skills or durable skills)—matter most in preparing non-college graduates for jobs and careers in a labor market transformed by AI and other emerging technologies? And 2) what practices, contexts, and delivery modes are proving effective in delivering those skills? We will consider these questions in the context of advancing equity through expanded access to high demand jobs that either pay a living wage at placement, or offer a clear and direct path to a living wage within no more than two or three years. Moderated discussion will focus on surfacing both persistent challenges and best practices, with facilitation emphasizing proven solutions and emerging strategies.
